GET INVOLVED

BE A MENTOR

The first year in teaching is challenging for fresh teachers. Surrounded by experts around them, they often feel lonely and clueless when it comes to managing day-to-day problems and proving themselves at their new workplace. Tomorrowsmith Foundation’s mentorship program prepares in-service teachers to be mentors for new teachers. If you are a practicing teacher, apply to become a mentor.
Our mentors go through a 10-hour free mentorship training with us on practices such as active listening, advanced coaching skills, questioning skills and providing feedback. Mentoring provides the mentors opportunities to practice and cultivate these skills, and perform better in their schools.
Mentors help new teachers with classroom management solutions, offer feedback on their teaching practice, suggest practical improvements and share hard-gleaned advice on working more efficiently. More simply, they provide new teachers with a sense of connection and a level of one-to-one support that schools struggle to provide on an individual basis.

BE A VOLUNTEER

Whether helping us organise an event, doing essential administrative tasks in the office, researching, writing articles or working directly with our target group, our volunteers make a huge difference in supporting the mission of the Tomorrowsmith Foundation.

To become a Tomorrowsmith volunteer, all you need is enthusiasm and a desire to learn. You can choose how much time you give, and we will give you all the training and support you need.

We welcome people who are above 18 years of age from all nationalities and backgrounds. Whoever you are and however you choose to volunteer, you’ll be part of a supportive community coming together to transform India’s education system.

TESTIMONIALS

Thank you, Tomorrowsmith Foundation, for the amazing three months. It was my pleasure and privilege to work with the brilliant and passionate team at Tomorrowsmith Foundation. Thank you for the opportunity to use my skills actively, for a cause I truly believe in. I enjoyed every bit of the journey. Loved being part of this beautiful and supportive team. I wish the entire team the very best and I look forward to being able to return as a volunteer. In the meantime, I will be following the foundation and celebrating your growth!
Tomorrowsmith Foundation is working to change the Indian Education System. Founder and CEO of Tomorrowsmith Foundation, Rashmi Sharma, is working hard to ensure that education reaches every corner of India and we leave behind no child. I have seen how passionate and dedicated she is. She was always there for me whenever I needed help with anything.

Her ability to value the work of others is praiseworthy. I wish nothing but all the best to the foundation.
I learned a lot from this experience. As a Sociology student, my experience with Tomorrowsmith broadened my perspective, especially in terms of analyzing and translating social predicaments that confront many underrepresented individuals and communities.

My experience with you and the whole team is something that I will truly cherish. Thanks again and I hope to be working with you again, soon
